Within WP5 the applicant/coordinating organization (MU) will handle the whole project management and financial administration with the constant support of other beneficiary institutions. MU as the coordinator will take care of the overall project management, financial management, regular communication with all partners, and monitoring of project activities; it will also be responsible for reporting to EACEA. In order to guarantee effective and efficient project management, two main bodies will be established - at consortium level, a Project Steering Committee (PSC), which will include contact persons from each consortium member institution and will manage and monitor all project activities, organize coordination meetings, and evaluate project results. NUM as Asian coordinator will supervise the work of the Asian Partners and will be responsible for supervising the work of WP1. The PSC will also be responsible for dealing with any risk, problem, and conflict that may arise in the course of the project. At institutional level a Local Management Team will be composed of a coordinator, and administrative assistant and the managers to be trained. A kick-off meeting will be organized at the beginning of the project as part of preparation. Three overall coordination (together with dissemination events) meetings and 2 regional coordination meetings will be organized during the project lifetime.


List of activities:


Kick-off Meeting in Mongolia (November 11 - 13th, 2015)

TACTIC partners met for the very first time in Mongolia. The National University of Mongolia hosted the kick-off meeting during which a number of issues related to the project were discussed and elaborated on. The partners managed to go through all the planned activities and events and made sure everything within the project was articulated clearly and transparently. Information on all the upcoming activities along with reports will be published on this website. We will also launch an official Facebook page for the general public. The meeting was very well organized and all the partners are fully committed to the project. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues at the National University of Mongolia for the amazing job they did and we look forward to further implementation of the project. TACTIC has been officially launched!

Second meeting and conference in Cambodia (October 24th - 28th, 2016)

Dilligent work, clear and insightful ideas and friendly atmosphere - this could be a brief description of second meeting which was held in Cambodia from October 24 to October 28, 2016. A week-long event brought together not only involved partners but raised an interest among wider public as well with the public seminar "Management of HEIs". Learn more about it here.

During the following days, partners involved in TACTIC were discussing current state of arts of the project, workloads for each of the partners, external visibility, financial management and introduction to IT systems were the topics under discussion. A survey, which is essential basis of the project conducted in earlier stages, has been revised to serve even better the purpose of the project, a decision on call for experts has been taken and further organization of training modules were agreed upon. TACTIC consortium has received a warm welcome from the top leadership at both Cambodian univerisites involved in the project - by H. E. Ms. Sieng Emtotim, the rector of Battambang University, and by H. E. Mr. Sam Nga, the rector of Meanchey University.

Third meeting and conference in Hanoi (December 4th - 8th, 2017)

The first day of the TACTIC consortium meeting was opened by the public conference coorganized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). Here you can learn more about the conference.

In the next two days, the TACTIC consortium discussed essential issues such as project progress, completed/ planned activities in 2018 and accomplished/ missed deadlines in 2017. The focus was given on the establishment of Staff Advisory Offices (SAO), the key outcome of the project, and various strategies, tips and advice about SAO was provided to the SEA partners. Moreover, the consortium set another set of deadlines to successfully accomplish the objectives of the project. The very last day the partners took part in a short risk management workshop and the TACTIC coordinator gave a thorough presentation on the details of budget spending. What is more, each SEA partner had a chance to present progress at their respective institutions and consult the problems they are facing with the implementation of the project.

The whole event, both conference and private sessions, proved very efficient and the TACTIC consortium would like to thank the organizer – HUST for smooth running of the coordinating meeting.
